# Apps

List, launch, quit, install and uninstall apps on your device, and download or replace an app's data.

The **Apps** tab of the Inspector lists the apps on your device, with their icons. Launch, quit and remove them without touching the device.

## 1. Open the Apps tab

1. Show the Inspector with the toolbar button, or press <kbd>⌥⌘0</kbd>.
2. Click the **Apps** tab.

Use the picker at the top to show **All**, **Developer**, **Removable** or **Apple** apps, and the filter field to find an app by name.

## 2. Manage apps

Right-click an app:

| Action | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| **Launch** | Opens the app on the device. |
| **Terminate** | Quits the app. |
| **Copy Bundle Identifier** | Copies the app's bundle ID. |
| **Uninstall…** | Removes the app from the device. |

To install an app, click **+** at the bottom of the list and choose an `.ipa` or `.app` file. Installing apps is part of [Device MCP Pro](../license.md); launching, quitting and uninstalling are free.

## 3. App data

For apps you install for development, for example from Xcode or with [Build & Run](../ai-agents/build-and-run.md), you can work with the app's data, such as its documents, settings and caches:

* **App Data Container → Download…** saves a copy of the app's data to your Mac, in a format Xcode can open.
* **App Data Container → Replace…** puts saved data back on the device. It's a quick way to start a test from the same state every time.
* **App Data Container → Show in Finder** shows the last download.

{% hint style="info" %}
iOS only shares the data of apps installed for development. App Store apps don't show these options.
{% endhint %}
