so AI agents can use it
See and control your iPhone from your Mac, over USB or Wi-Fi. Your agent can do the same.
macOS 26 or lateriPhone and iPad on iOS 27What's new
Works with the agents you already use
Nothing on the device. No helper app, no signing team, no certificates. Plug in, trust the Mac, turn on Developer Mode.
USB or Wi-Fi. The same mirror and control over the cable or the air, switching on its own when you unplug.
Private by design. The MCP server runs on your Mac, on localhost, behind a token. Your screen never leaves the room.
01Mirror
A sharp, full-colour mirror at up to 60 frames a second, over USB or Wi-Fi. Text stays readable, gradients stay smooth, and the picture sits inside a model of your actual device.
iOS's Remote Desktop stream: HEVC 4:4:4 at up to 60 Mbit/s, where Device Hub's profile stops at 6.
Automatic prefers the cable and falls back to Wi-Fi, then moves back when you plug in again.
Its colour, buttons, Dynamic Island and cameras, drawn live around the mirror. Click a button to press it.
02Control
Your mouse becomes a finger and your trackpad does the gestures. Type with your Mac keyboard, press the hardware buttons from the toolbar, and never reach for the phone.
Clicks, drags, trackpad scrolling and pinch, with long press on a right click.
Home, Lock, volume, Siri, Control Center, the App Switcher and rotation.
Type straight into the device, accents included, or paste from your Mac's clipboard.
Lossless screenshots and screen recordings, one click from the toolbar.
03Agents
Device MCP has a built-in MCP server. Claude Code, Codex or any MCP agent can see the screen, then tap, swipe and type on your real iPhone or iPad.
$ claude mcp add --scope user device-mcp -- "/Applications/Device MCP.app/Contents/MacOS/device-mcp"Run this in Terminal, then ask Claude to use your iPhone.
Screenshots plus the words and controls on screen, so an agent can tap “Sign In” by name.
Tap, type, swipe, launch apps, open links, record. Add it to your agent with a single line.
Installs, deletions and builds ask first. Every call is logged, and the mirror shows when an agent is driving.
SoonThe same MCP server for iOS Simulators, Android emulators and Android devices.
04Build & Run
Point Device MCP at an Xcode project. It builds, installs and launches on the device you're watching. Your agent can do the same, then tap through what it built to check its own work.
A project or a workspace, with the scheme and configuration you choose.
Edit, build, run, tap, screenshot, fix. Your agent tests on real hardware without you.
Build output streams into the Inspector, and failures say why.
05Handoff
Face ID, a passcode, an Apple Account password: an agent can't get past them, and shouldn't. Device MCP spots the prompt, sends you a notification with a sound, and waits until you're done.
Recognises Face ID, Touch ID, passcode and permission prompts on screen.
A Mac notification with sound, even when Device MCP is in the background.
Click Done and the agent carries on with the rest of the task.
Mirror every iPhone and iPad you plug in, each in its own window.
iPadOS 27 in portrait or landscape, with rotation from the toolbar.
Locked, not trusted, Developer Mode off: Device MCP names it, shows the fix and carries on once it's done.
List, launch, quit and remove the apps on a device from the Inspector.
A real Mac app built with SwiftUI and Metal, decoding the stream in hardware.
New versions arrive quietly, signed and verified, as small delta downloads.
Device MCP vs Device Hub
Xcode's Device Hub showed what iOS 27 can do. Device MCP takes it further: a sharper picture, a home of its own, and a device your agents can use.

Get started
Any iPhone or iPad on iOS 27. Trust this Mac and turn on Developer Mode once.
Your device appears in the sidebar and starts mirroring in about a second.
One command adds Device MCP to Claude Code, a few lines to Codex or Cursor. Then just ask.
$ claude mcp add --scope user device-mcp -- "/Applications/Device MCP.app/Contents/MacOS/device-mcp"Proxyman LLC
