No. You pay once and keep the version you have forever. Standard, Pro and Team licenses include a year of updates; Lifetime includes every update. When your updates end, renewing for $39 per seat adds a year of updates. It's optional.
Mirroring and controlling one device at a time, screenshots and recordings are free. A license unlocks Pro: agents over MCP, Build & Run, unlimited devices at once, installing apps and the Face ID and passcode handoff.
Nothing stops working. Your license runs every version released before its update date, forever, and auto-update only offers those. Renew whenever you want a newer version: renewal opens 6 months before the date, and the new period starts from your old date or today, whichever is later, so lapsed time is never charged.
Standard covers one Mac, Pro and Lifetime cover two Macs, and a Team license covers one Mac per seat. To move a license, deactivate it in Device MCP's license window or remove the Mac in the License Manager.
A Mac on macOS 26 or later, and an iPhone or iPad on iOS or iPadOS 27 with Developer Mode on. Nothing is installed on the device. Build & Run uses the Xcode on your Mac.
Any agent that speaks MCP. Claude Code and Codex connect with one command; Cursor, Gemini CLI, VS Code and others use the same command, "/Applications/Device MCP.app/Contents/MacOS/device-mcp", in their MCP settings.
Device MCP doesn't upload your screen or your apps anywhere. Its MCP server only listens on your Mac, behind a token. The agent you connect sees what you let it see and may send it to its own model provider, so connect the agents you trust.
Yes. A Team license is one shared key with 5 to 100 seats. Add seats on the renewal page while its updates are current; they share the license's update date (if it has passed, renew first). Need an invoice or a purchase order? Contact us.
