Screenshots & Recording

Take full-quality screenshots and screen recordings of your iPhone or iPad in one click.

Capture what's on your device for a bug report, a design review or a demo, straight from your Mac.

1. Screenshot

Click Screenshot in the toolbar, or press ⌘S.

  • The screenshot is saved to your Desktop as a PNG, named after the device with the date and time.
  • It's also copied to your clipboard, ready to paste into Slack, an email or an issue.

2. Screen recording

  1. Click Record in the toolbar, or press ⌥⌘R. A timer shows how long you've been recording.
  2. Click Record again, or press ⌥⌘R, to stop.

The video is saved to Movies → Device MCP, and Finder opens to show it. The recording keeps going if the device reconnects.

3. With an AI agent

Your agent can take screenshots and start or stop a recording too, for example to show you what it tested. See MCP.
